Add your first product

Create a product with images, variants and pricing.

Every store starts with a product. The easiest way to add one is to ask Sloane.

Ask Sloane

Tell Sloane something like "Add a new product called Lavender Soap for $8". Or open Products > Products in the left sidebar and add one there. You can attach a photo of your product in the conversation. Based on the image and a short nudge from you, Sloane will draft a title, a description that reads naturally and even generate lifestyle photos showing your product in use. She will show you a full draft before saving so you can tweak anything.

Really, every product just needs an image and a price. Sloane handles the rest.

What a product has

  • Title: what customers will see

  • Description: what it is, who it is for, why they should want it

  • Images and video: at least one clear image, plus more photos or short videos

  • Price: in your store currency

Photos

The quickest way to add a photo is to attach it in the conversation using the + icon in the message box, then tell Sloane which product it belongs to. She can also generate lifestyle photos from a plain shot of your product, so a phone picture on a kitchen table is enough to start.

To change photos later, open the product and add or replace images there. Every photo you upload or generate is saved to your media library and can be reused, so you never need to re-upload the same shot. Most editors let you pick from the library instead of uploading again.

Variants and SKUs

If your product comes in sizes, colors or other options, add variants. Each variant can have its own price, SKU and stock level. Keep SKUs short and consistent so they are easy to track later.

Public or draft

Each product has a Visibility setting with a Public toggle. When it is on, the product is live on your storefront. Turn it off and the product goes back to Draft, so you can keep working on it without anyone seeing it. Turn it on when you are ready to sell.

Put a product on sale

There are 2 ways to put something on sale.

  1. Lower the price and set a Compare at price. Say a product normally sells for $20. Set its price to $15 and its Compare at price to $20. Your listing then shows $20 struck through with a 25% off badge. Find it under Products > Products in the left sidebar, choose a product and click Edit product.

  2. Create a discount. Ask Milo to set up a store discount like "Summer 2026 20% off storewide". Or open Products > Discounts. Leave the coupon code blank so it applies automatically, which we recommend. Or add a code customers enter at checkout. See Create discount codes and promotions.

Digital products

Selling a download instead of something you ship? Turn on Digital product and add your Digital delivery instructions, like a download link or steps to access the file. Both fields are on the product under Products > Products in the left sidebar. See Sell digital products for the full flow.

Bulk edits

You can ask Sloane to change many products at once. Try something like "increase the price of all red necklaces by $5". Sloane will show you exactly which products and variants are about to change and wait for your confirmation before applying.
